This Microsoft Outlook Configuration Tutorial is a step-by-step guide on how to configure your Microsoft Outlook email client in order to make it work with your web-based email account. Step 2: Select the option Add a new e-mail account. Click ‘Next’

Step 3: Select the type of account you would like to create (IMAP or POP3)

Here you can choose if you wish to Leave a copy of the messages on the server or not.

Please check with your host provider whether to use secure authentication option.

Note : for Outgoing server (SMTP) port, please check with your host provider for the correct port to use.

For Outlook Express steps, is similar as above steps but the interface would be a little bit different, however I have drafted out the simple steps by steps as below :

Step 2: Click Add account and select Mail.

Step 3: Enter your name as you would like it to appear in the From: field of all outgoing mail.

Please, set the SMTP port to 26 (or 25)

Step 6: Username: please use the full e-mail account name.

Example: you+yourdomain.com (or you@yourdomain.com) instead of you.

Step 7: Click Finish.

Step 8: Now click once on the newly created account, and choose Properties.

Go to the Servers tab and check My server requires authentication. Please check with your host provider whether to use secure authentication option.

Monitoring Other People’s Money (OPM)

December 13, 2008

(My Original Blog Post: http://wordpress.powersuccessdesign.com/wordpress-plugins/monitoring-other-peoples-money-opm)
Following from the previous post about 8 Great Ways To Make Money Using Your WordPress Blog, addition to that, I want to share about how you can use some free plugins to monitor Other People’s Money (OPM).

There are only a few WordPress Plugins that will help you monitor other people’s money, and maybe some of your own, though there are a lot of Google Gadgets you can use are similar to Widgets and Plugins, and
integration into WordPress is fairly easy.

Stock Quote Tooltip WordPress Plugin
allows you to create a hover mouseover effect over the link of any business to display the stock quotes in an AJAX mini window, similar to the Snap Preview effect.

Stock Quote Sidebar
allows you to customize which stocks you want to follow and displays them as a list of stock quotes in your sidebar.

Stock Chart Widget
displays a chart of your stock quotes in WordPress Widget.

Web 2.0 Rubble Widget
is a regular Widget you can add to Widget-enabled WordPress Themes that tracks 10 Web 2.0 type stocks that are considered “popular”.

Move The Markets Post Stocks List WordPress Plugin
isn’t the name of this Plugin which the author hasn’t yet named. Still, it’s an interesting stock market and investment oriented WordPress Plugin. It scans your post for stock market symbol names (like Exchange: SYMBOL, NYSE: CSX, Nasdaq: SUNW) and creates a table at the bottom of each post with links to search results for that ticker symbol on Yahoo, Google, and StockTickr.
